After a 3 year hiatus from art I needed a subject to capture my attention and passion after a tough first year postpartum. Dr. Pepper is a drink I grew up with in Canada but is not available everywhere in Australia. Though the painting itself was a tough first go at getting back into my passion, I feel like it’s a little bit of home on the wall. My hope is that wherever it hangs, it will bring a sense of ‘home’ and nostalgia.
